Color Element Massage - 16 CE hours (Tuition $300) -- African Massage is based on the African term “Ubuntu”. Ubuntu  is a belief system based on interconnectedness – mind, body and spirit and  incorporates the connectivity of nature, the elements and energy i.e. Energy in motion. In African massage the therapist is almost constantly moving. This is referred to as ‘energy in motion’ and results in a flowing, rhythmical massage which can be deep and therapeutic or relaxing and nurturing. In this technique; the therapist embodies the elements; earth, air, fire, water, wood and metal and uses the alchemy of the mind and intention to facilitate positive transformation with the client  by describing peaceful aspects about nature for the client to visualize. African massage assists the therapist to develop their intuitive gifts and assists them to create a unique experience during each massage. During class students will enjoy visualizations of each Element and experience and learn techniques to embody each the Elements and how the body / mind connection can assist in creating a mindful massage.
