Massage for Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) -7 CE hours (Tuition $135) - According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (Part of NIH): TMJD is the second most commonly occurring musculoskeletal condition resulting in pain and disability preceded only by chronic low back pain. After completing this course each participant will be able to identify the major muscles involved in TM joint movement, better understand the causes of TMJ pain, and apply specific Swedish techniques to help reduce TMJ pain. All hands-on work is external. (Note: This course covers introductory level TMJD work.) Please bring oil or lotion suitable for work on the face, one set of sheets including cradle cover and a blanket if you get cold. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
